30 April 2008The April 2008 draw has taken place and the winner was:- Mrs. P. M. Hale of Market Lavington, Wilts. 10 April 2008Pudding is a delightful Shetland pony, a very welcome addition to the family. She was unwanted at her previous home and it is lovely to have a pony in the stables again. It is hoped she will become friends with the two rescue goats, Gloria and Bluebell, they were devoted to Blue, Joanne’s lovely horse who sadly died eighteen months ago. She is a little wary of them at the moment but it will be wonderful if they become companions. The pictures of her were taken only the day after she arrived before she was seen by the farrier who has now started to trim back her overgrown hooves. Her sweet nature has endeared her to everyone and she is proving to be a great favourite of Dave and Lorraine’s two young grandsons Olly and Charlie. Kimmy is a young black female cat who was badly injured in a road traffic accident. A kind passer by took her to a vet and after extensive surgery she has come to Kats&Kits to recover. To allow her injuries to heal she is confined to her cage for six weeks but she has proved to be a model patient and is enjoying all the care and attention. To what extent her mobility will be affected is not yet known, only time will tell. |
About Kats & Kits:Kats & Kits is a long established cat sanctuary based in the depth of the UK's mystical Wiltshire countryside, on the edge of Salisbury Plain, near the white horses of Alton Barnes and Westbury. Run by a small dedicated team we aim to provide a home to rescued cats where re-homing is not a viable option. This blog documents the daily challenges the group has overcome since 1994 to provide care and shelter for abandonded, stray and unwanted cats.
