A Sad End to 2006

We have had a sad loss since my posting of November 11th showed Molly and Bluebell outside their stable. Molly was suddenly taken very ill, and despite all efforts has died . She came to us with Bluebell when the people who had rescued them could no longer care for them. Bluebell still has the company of Gloria and Gracie our original rescue goats, and though they are all of a good age we hope they will continue in good health for a long time yet.

JUDITH
Now seems a good time to say thank-you to Judith (see post of 11 November) who is leaving us after Christmas and retiring to Cyprus with her husband Dave and their cat Basil and dog Hadji. Judith has been a wonderful helper at Kats&Kits for a long time, working several days a week ,but always there when extra help is needed, even moving into the house when Dave and Lorraine are away. She will be greatly missed. I hear she has already signed up to help at animal charity on Cyprus, lucky them! We wish you the very best in your new life Judith. Please keep in touch and send us some pictures, we will post them on the blog.

Christmas 2006
We want to wish all our friends and supporters a very Happy Christmas and thank them for all their help over the last year.

Please remember to keep your animals safe at this busy time, away from the decorations and the rich food. Remember too, if you are given lilies this Christmas that the pollen is fatal to cats, if they get it on their coat and lick it, it will poison them. Probably a good idea to cut out the centres as soon as you get them. I promise you no more handy hints this year.

HAPPY CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL

About Kats & Kits:

Kats & Kits is a long established cat sanctuary based in the depth of the UK's mystical Wiltshire countryside, on the edge of Salisbury Plain, near the white horses of Alton Barnes and Westbury.

Run by a small dedicated team we aim to provide a home to rescued cats where re-homing is not a viable option.

This blog documents the daily challenges the group has overcome since 1994 to provide care and shelter for abandonded, stray and unwanted cats.
